Seattle wedding photographers who take care of newborns and parents are paying the bills.

Photographer Sam Bragg and his wife, Melissa, are a couple who started their wedding photography business back in the summer of 2014, but it has taken them over the last two years.
Theirs is a family business, and they are proud of it.
“We are just so lucky that we get to be able to do what we love,” Bragg told Business Insider in an email.
“Being a wedding photographer is a big part of what we do.
We are very fortunate to be working at this level, and it has been a privilege to work with the people and companies that we do work for.
We enjoy it so much that we wanted to share our story and our experiences to raise awareness about how it can be done.”

“I would say that the most common advice I got was, if you can’t take a picture with the newborn, you don’t want to have to do it.”
Brag said his company doesn’t do many weddings, but they do take in some couples.
“My husband and I are married and we have two children.
We have a large family, so we have lots of time to do that kind of work,” Bragos said.
But Bragg said one of his biggest regrets is that he did not take the time to hire a photographer when he was a photographer in Seattle.
“The thing is, I wanted to work for this company, and I didn’t know how to do the job properly,” Brags said.
For example, he said he would have loved to hire an older photographer, who could be a bit more experienced and who could help him with his lighting, for example.
“If I had hired that person, I would have had more experience and more time to go out and do that job,” Bragy said.
